Use scholar-mcp¶
This section is for readers who already run the server and want more out of it: how to use its features for real tasks, and why they behave as they do. Each page covers one task or one feature.
For what the server can reach and change while you use it, see the security model.
Scholar MCP covers four kinds of source: papers, patents, books and standards. Papers have the richest tools (citation graph, recommendations, links to the other three); standards have the fewest. That follows what public data is available, not a ranking. The pages here explain behaviour that spans tools; each tool's own contract is in the tools reference.
